Pat Donnellson started his career when he graduated from one of the top law schools in the country, top of his class. Donnellson then took the opportunity of clerking for a Supreme Court justice. After two years, Pat took a position with a non profit organization that was dedicated to protecting children, as well as arguing cases to provide children with proper welfare and health care laws. Pat was then hired by one of the most prestigious law firms in the U.S. in Chicago, Illinois. Pat worked there until taking on government and becoming a U.S. senator for Illinois 10 years ago.
